All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ Frankstown Township Written: March 1, 1849 Recorded: May 15, 1849 Blair County Deed Book B page 176 Christian Koon to Jacob Geesey This Indenture made the twenty first day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty nine between Christian Koon of the Township of Frankstown in the County of Blair and state of Pennsylvania and Hannah his wife of the one part and Jacob Geesey, of the same place of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Christian Koon and Hannah his wife for and in consideration of the sum of Two hundred and seventy dollars lawful money of the United States of America unto them at or before the sealing and delivery hereof by the said Jacob Geesey well and truly paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged. Have granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed, released, conveyed and confirmed and by these presents Do grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release and confirm unto the said Jacob Geesey and to his heirs and assigns all that certain tract piece or parcel of land lying and being situated in Frankstown Township in the County of Blair and state aforesaid adjoining the lands of the said Christian Koon bound as follows viz Beginning at a post at a corner of the lands of George Elliot and Adam Venalman's heirs, thence with line of said George Elliots land south ten degrees east thirty eight perches to a chesnut [sic] oak, thence south 65 degrees east twenty two perches to a dogwood thence by other lands of the said Christian Koon south one degree east sixty perches to a white oak thence northeast five degrees west thirty two perches to a chestnut oak thence south nine degrees east forty two perches to a chesnut oak then north sixty seven degrees east thirty nine perches to the line of the land of the said Adam Venalman's heirs at an ironwood thence along with the line of the said land north eighty degrees east one hundred and sixty four perches to a post at the place of beginning containing twenty seven acres and allowances. It being part of a larger tract of land which was purchased by the said Christian Koon by deed bearing date the eighth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty eight from Alexander Fullerton and Sarah A his wife and Erskin Hazard and Mary his wife by their attorney in fact John G. Miles. The right of the said Alexander Fullerton and Sarah A his wife and Erskin Hazard and Mary his wife to the said tract of land having become vested in them by warrant having been granted to William Russell bearing date the thirty first day of March AD one thousand seven hundred and ninety four who by deed dated the first day of March AD one thousand eight hundred and two conveyed the same to Alexander Fullerton of the city of Philadelphia, merchant, who on the fifteenth day of July AD one thousand eight hundred and two obtained a patent and enrolled in the office for recording of patents in Book No. 48 page 43 and the said Alexander Fullerton merchant as aforesaid being so thereof seized as aforesaid did on the second day of February AD 1818 make his last Will and Testament in writing wherein after sundry specified devices he bequeathed the remainder of this Real Estate including the said tract of land to the said Alexander Fullerton and Mary Fullerton now Mary Hazard and died without altering or revoking the same as in and by the said will remaining on record in the Register's office at the city of Philadelphia reference as thereunto being had will more fully and at large appear. Together with all and singular, other, the houses out houses, buildings, barnes, [sic] stables ways, woods, waters, water courses, rights, liberties privileges hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the revisions [sic] and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and also all the estate right title interest property claim and demand whatsoever of them the said Christian Koon and Hannah his wife, in law, or equity or otherwise, howsoever of, in, to, or out of the same. To have and to hold the said messuage or tenement and tract of twenty seven acres of land hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned or intended so to be, with the appurtenances unto the said Jacob Geesey, his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of the said Jacob Geesey his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Christian Koon and Hannah his wife for themselves their heirs executors and administrators do covenant promise grant and agree to and with the said Jacob Geesey his heirs and assigns by these presents that they the said Christian Koon and Hannah his wife and their heirs the said above mentioned and described messuage or tenement and tract or piece of land, hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned or intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said Jacob Geesey his heirs and assigns against him the said Christian Koon and his heirs and against all and every other person and persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to clame [sic] the same in any part or parcle [sic] thereof shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In witness whereof the said parties to these presents have hereunto set their hands and seales [sic] dated the day and year first above written. Norton Kurtz Coffman Blair County SS Before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the Peace in and for the said county of Blair personally came the above named Christian Koon and Hannah his wife, who in due form of law acknowledged the above written indenture to be their act and deed and desired that the same might be recorded as such. The said Hannah being of full age and by me examined separate and apart from her said husband and the contents of the foregoing indenture being first fully made known to her did declare and say that she did voluntarily and of her own free will and accord sign and seal and as her act and deed deliver the same without any coercion or compulsion of her said husband.
