All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ Samuel Koon to David Koon, 1853 Allegheny Twp., Blair County, PA Written: April 1, 1853 Recorded: August 26, 1853 Blair County Deed Book E, page 18 This indenture made the first day of April in the year of our Lord 1853 between Samuel Koon of Allegheny Township Blair County state of Pennsylvania and Lovina his wife of the first and David Koon of the township county and state aforesaid of the second part. Witnesseth that the parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of three thousand dollars lawful money of the United States of America then well and truly paid by the said part of the second part at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged. Have granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed released and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien enfeoff release and confirm unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns all the one individual half part of a certain tract of land situate in the said township of Allegheny bounded by lands of Jacob Stiffler (Henry now), John Stiffler, Joseph Christian and lands formerly owned by Michael Thompson containing 213 acres more or less being the same part of a larger tract which by deed dated 1st April 1841 recorded in the office for the recording of deeds in and for the County of Huntingdon the 12th day of April 1841 in Book C No. 2 page 789 was conveyed by David Albaugh and his wife to the David and Samuel Koon relation being thereunto had more fully appears. Together with all and singular the buildings improvements ways waters water courses rights liberties privileges hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever the results belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversions and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and all the estate right title interest property claim and demand whatsoever of them the said parties of the first part in law equity or otherwise howsoever of in and to the same and every part and parcel thereof to have and to hold the said one hundred half part the tract of land aforesaid hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the party of the second part his heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever and the said Samuel Koon and Lovina his wife and their heirs executors and administrators do by these presents covenant grant and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that they the parties of the first part their heirs all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns against them the said parties of the first part their heirs and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof shall and will warrant and forever defend. In witness whereof the said parties of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals. Dated the day and year first above written. The first day of April Anno Domini 1853 before me a justice of the peace in and for said county personally appeared the above named Samuel Koon and Lovina his wife and in due form of law acknowledged the above indenture to be their act and deed and desired the same might be recorded as such. And the said Lovina being of full age and separate and apart from her said husband by me thereon privately examined and the full contents of the above deed being by me first made known unto her did thereupon declare and say that she did voluntarily and of her own free will and accord sign seal and as he act and deed deliver the above indenture without any coersion or compulsion of her said husband.
