Koon & Wife to John H. Rodkey This Indenture, made the second day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty six between George L. Koon and wife of the town of Frankstown and County of Blair and State of Pennsylvania of the first part and John H. Rodkey of town county and state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth, that the said George L. Koon and Mary his wife of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and thirty dollars lawful money of the United States of America unto them well and truly paid by the said John H. Rodkey at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged - granted, bargained sold, aliened enfeoffed, released and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien enfeoff release and confirm unto the said John H. Rodkey his heirs and assigns, a certain lot in the ground No 5 in the new plot of the town of new Frankstown the length and breadth situation and boundary of said lot here by granted and conveyed by Michael Hileman and wife to John Keys thence by John Keys and wife to Christian and wife thence to George L. Koon by an assignment all that lot of ground situated as aforesaid on which is erected a two story frame house together a frame stable it being the same lot of ground which was conveyed by Michael Hileman and then to John Keys thence by conveyance to Christian Koon thence from Christian Koon to George L. Koon. Together with all and singular the houses outhouses ways woods water water courses rights liberties privileges hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversions and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and also all the estate right title interest property claim and demand whatsoever of them the said parties of the first part in law, equity or otherwise of in or to the same and every part and parcel thereof to have and to hold the said tract of land hereditaments and premises hereby granted or intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever. And the said parties of the first part for themselves their heirs executors and administrators do by these presents covenant grant and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that they the said parties of the first part their heirs all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted with the appurtenances with the said party of the second part their heirs and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or every part thereof shall and will warrant and forever defend and witness whereof the said parties have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.
