Stiffler This Indenture made the Twenty Eight day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty four between David Koon and Elizabeth his Wife of Allegheny Township Blair County Pennsylvania of the first part and John H. Stiffler of the same place of the second part. Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred Dollars, lawful money of the United States of America, unto Them well and truly paid, by the said parties of the second part, at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release, convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever, All that certain messuage piece or parcel of land situate in Allegheny Township Blair County Pennsylvania having thereon erected a small log house and bounded and described as follows: Beginning at a stone corner of lands of said David Koon and Chas Mason on line of lands of John H. Stiffler and running thence by land of C. Mason South 77 1/2 degrees West twelve "12" perches into middle of Spencers Run thence by other land of said David Koon North 60 degrees 10' West seventeen 25/100 "17.25" perches thence by said David Koon and Cemetery north 52 1/4 degrees East sixteen 15/100 "16.15" perches thence by German Baptist Church lot and land of Jno H. Stiffler South 41 degrees East twenty one 15/100 "21.15" perches to the stone place of beginning. Containing one and one half "1 1/2" acres being part of a larger tract of land which ----(blank) David Albaugh and Elizabeth his wife by their deed dated April 1st AD 1841 and which was recorded in the office for recording deeds in Huntingdon County April 12th, 1841 in deed Book C No 2 page 7 and 9. Conveyed to David and Sam'l Koon. Reference being had thereto will more fully and at large appear. Together with all and singular the building improvements, ways, waters, watercourses, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, and the reversions and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof: and all the estate, right, title, interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever of the said parties of the first part, in law, equity, or otherwise howsoever, of, in and to the same and every part thereof: To have and to Hold the said messuage piece or parcel of land hereditaments and premises hereby granted, or mentioned and intended so to be, with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, to and for the only property use and behoof of the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said David Koon and Wife the said parties of the first part, their heirs, executors and administrators, do by these presents, covenant, grant and agree to and with the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, that they the said parties of the first part, their heirs, all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted, or mentioned and intended so to be, with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against the said parties of the first part, and their heirs, and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same of any part thereof, Shall and Will Warrant and forever defend. In Witness Whereof, The said parties of the first part haveto these presents set their hand and seal. Dated the day and year first above written. On the 24 day of September Anno Domini 18 (blank), before me a Justice of the Peace came the above-named David Koon and Wife and acknowledged the foregoing Indenture to be their act and deed and desired that the same might be recorded as such. The said Elizabeth Koon being of full age, and by me examined separate and apart from her said husband, and the full contents of the foregoing Indenture being first made known to her, declared that she did, voluntarily and of her own free will and accord sing, seal and, as her act and deed, deliver the same, without any coercion or compulsion of her said husband.
