Confer This Indenture made the Tenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety three between Miss Jane Eliza Kuhn of Frankstown, County of Blair and State of Pennsylvania of the first part and John W. Confer of the Boro of Duncansville, County and State aforesaid of the second part. Witnesseth that the said party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred and twenty five ($625.00) Dollars, lawful money of the United States of America, unto her in hand well and truly paid, by the said party of the second part, at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents does grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release, convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, forever, All that certain lot of ground situated in the Boro of Duncansville County of Blair and state of Pennsylvania and bounded and described as follows to wit: Fronting fifty (50) feet on the south side of Turnpike also known as Main street in said Boro and extending back therefrom of equal width in a southerly direction to the northern line of the old Portage Rail Road, being lot marked No 7 in plot of said Boro. Being the same lot of ground which John Walters died seized, and which by deed of his executors dated November 7, 1837 and recorded in Huntingdon County in Deed Book volume "B" page 336 conveyed to Peter E. Meigh who with his wife by deed dated August 16th 1864 and recorded in Blair County in Deed Book Volume P page 339 conveyed the same to Margaret Miller and which said lot said Margaret Miller widow by her deed dated May 2nd 1887, and recorded in Deed Book volume 69 page 211 conveyed to said Jane Elizabeth Kuhn the present grantor Together with all and singular the buildings improvements, ways, waters, watercourses, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, and the reversions and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof: and all the estate, right, title, interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever of the said party of the first part, in law, equity, or otherwise howsoever, of, in and to the same and every part thereof: To have and to hold the said described lot of ground hereditaments and premises hereby granted, or mentioned and intended so to be, with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Jane Elizabeth Kuhn the said party of the first part, for herself, her heirs, executors and administrators, does, by these presents, covenant grant and agree to and with the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, that she the said party of the first part;, her heirs, all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted, or mentioned and intended so to be, with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns, against the said party of the first part, and her heirs, and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof, shall and will warrant and forever defend. In Witness Whereof,, The said party of the first part has to these presents set her hand and seal. Dated the day and year first above written. Jane E. On the Thirteenth day of March Anno Domini 1893, before me the subscriber Justice of the Peace came the above-named Jane Elizabeth Kuhn and acknowledged the foregoing Indenture to be her act and deed, and desired that the same might be recorded as such.
