Myers to Harriett Hoover This Indenture made the 1st day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty four between Jane E. Kuhn and Ann E. Myers of Freedom Township Blair County and State of Pennsylvania of the first part and Harriett Hoover of Huston Township County and State aforesaid of the second part. Witnesseth, That the said parties of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of One thousand and fifty Dollars, lawful money of the United States of America unto them well and truly paid by the said party of the second part, at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release, convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part, their heirs and assigns forever. All the following described property. Viz: All that certain plantation or tract of land situated in the Township of Freedom, county and state aforesaid beginning at a fallen white oak a corner of a survey in the name of Philip Fonse; thence by land of Peter Miller (deceased) now James Masdon west 36 perches to a white oak, thence by land of Levi Donner, south 14 degrees west 110 perches to a white oak thence by other lands of which this is a part south 20 degrees east 46 perches to a post, thence by land of Larrue G. Leamer Heir and the heirs of James Shirley (deceased) north 9 degrees east 120 perches to the place of beginning. Containing 27 ackers (sic) and 44 perches and allowance be the same more or less, being the part of a larger tract of land which was conveyed to Dr Peter Shoenberger by Patent dated July 2" 1842 enrolled in patent Book F Vol. 44 page 222 and which by sundry conveyances became vested in Daniel Tell who with his wife by deed date November 18" 1864 conveyed the same to Jane E. Kuhn and Ann E Myers the parties hereto as by reference thereto will all fully appear. Together with all and singular the building improvements, ways, waters, water-courses, rights liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, and the reversions and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof; and all the estate, right, title, interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever of the said parties of the first part, in law, equity, or otherwise howsoever, of, in and to the same, and every part thereof, To have and to Hold the said hereditaments, and premises hereby granted or mentioned, and intended so to be, with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part, their heirs and assigns, to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said party of the second part, their heirs and assigns forever. And Jane E. Kuhn and Ann E. Myers the said parties of the first part their heirs, executors, and administrators, do by these presents covenant, grant and agree to and with the said party of the second part their heirs and assigns that they the said parties of the first part, and their heirs, all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted or mentioned, and intended so to be, with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part, her heirs and assigns, against their the said parties of the first part and their heirs, and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof, shall and will warrant and forever defend. In Witness Whereof, the said parties of the first part have to these presents set their hands and seals dated the day and year first above written. Jane E. Kuhn (seal) Ann E. Myers acknowledged the above Deed to be their act and deed and desire to have it recorded. Said ---- being of full age and by me examined separate and from her said husband ---- said husband in and the contents of said deed being first made known to them declared that they signed, sealed and delivered said Deed of their own free will and accord without coercion or compulsion of their said husband.
