Kuhn to Elizabeth Peck This Indenture made the twenty first day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty seven between Jane Eliza Kuhn and Annie E. Myers of Newry, Blair County, Pennsylvania of the first part and Elizabeth Peck of Juniata Township County and State aforesaid of the second part. Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred Dollars, lawful money of the United States of America unto them well and truly paid by the said party of the second part, at or before the sealing and delivery of these present, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release, convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part, her heirs and assigns forever. All those two certain adjoining, lots of ground situated in the Borough of Newry in Blair Township, Blair County and State of Pennsylvania marked in the plan of said town Nos. 63 and 64 and fronting one hundred feet in Allegheny Street and extending back at right angles thereto two hundred feet to south alley and bounded as follows, to wit: On the North by said Allegheny Street, on the east by Castoutward alley. On the south by south alley and on the West by school House lot, No. 62 being the same lot of ground which Joseph McCormick and Francis Cassidy administrators of Peter Cassidy decd. late of Blair Township, Blair County and state of Pa by deed dated June 18, 1857 conveyed to Matilda McConnell Recorded in the office for the Recording of Deeds in Blair County in Book R page 76 and Edmund McConnell and Matilda his wife by Deed dated December 28, 1871 conveyed to Samuel Kephart recorded in Deed Book Vol. 26 page 597 to Samuel Kephart and Susannah his wife by Deed bearing date Sept 18, 1873 conveyed the same to John Benton and he by Deed dated April 18, 1878 conveyed to Samuel J. McMasters who with his wife Margaretta conveyed to Josiah Helsel , and by the said Josiah Helsel and Ida M. his wife by deed dated the 20 day of August A. D. 1882 to Jane Eliza Kuhn and Annie E. Myers the grantors, Lot No. 63 being the same lot of ground which Alexander Knox and wife by deed dated March 26, 1879 conveyed to Samuel S. McMasters, and the said Samuel McMasters and Margarettta his wife by their deed dated April 29, 1882 did convey to Josiah Helsel and by the said Josiah Helsel and Ida M his wife by their deed dated the Twentieth day of August A.D. 1884 to Jane Eliza Kuhn and Annie E. Myers the grantors. Together with all and singular the buildings improvements, ways, waters, water-courses, rights, liberties, privilege, hereditaments, and appurtenances whatsoever whereunto belonging, or in anywise appertaining and the reversions and remainders, rents, issues, and profits thereof; and all the estate, right, title, interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever of the said parties of the first part in law, equity or otherwise howsoever of in and to the same and every part thereof. To have and to hold the said two lots of ground the buildings hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned and intended so to be, with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part, her heirs assigns to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said party of the second part, her heirs and assigns forever. And the said Jane Eliza Kuhn and Annie E. Myers the said parties of the first part their heirs executors and administrators do, by these presents covenant, grant and agree to and with the said party of the second part, her heirs and assigns, that they the said parties of the first part their heirs, all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted, or mentioned and intended so to be, with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part her heirs and assigns against them the said parties of the first part and their heirs and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof by, from, or under them, or any of them shall and will warrant and forever defend. On the 26th day of March Anno Domini 1887 before me a Justice of the peace in and for said County and state came the above named Jane Eliza Kuhn and Annie E. Myers of Newry Blair and acknowledged the foregoing Indenture to be their act and deed and desired that the same might be recorded as such. Witness my hand and seal, the day and year aforesaid. C.
