Curry This Indenture made the Thirteenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty eight between John Lunchbaugh of the county of Blair and state of Pennsylvania and Elizabeth his wife of the first part and Charles W. Curry of the County and sate aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of eight hundred dollars lawful money of the United States of America, unto them well and truly paid by the said party of the second part at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released and confirmed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell alien, enfeoff, release and confirm unto the said part of the second part his heirs and assigns. A certain house and lot of ground situate in the town of Frankstown Extended bounded by lots of James Condron now Robert Riddle on the east, lot of James Conroy on the west and the Turnpike road on the north and the Pennsylvania canal on the south. It being the same lot of ground which Michael Hileman and Margaret his wife by Indenture baring [sic] date fourth of May 1833 for the consideration therein mentioned did grant and confirm unto David H. Moore his heirs and assigns and the same lot of ground known by No. 29 in the draft of the said Extension of the town of New Frankstown and was by assignment made on the first day of April 1854 by David H. Moore and Caroline his wife to John Shubert and on the first day of April 1856 Deed of John Shubert and Christiana his wife to John Lunchbauch [sic]. Together with all and singular the buildings, ways, waters, water courses, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever, thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversions and remainders, rents, issues, and profits thereof, and all the estate, right title, interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever, of them in law, equity, or otherwise howsoever, of, in and to the same and every part thereof, of said house and lot of ground. To Have and to Hold the said house and lot of ground with hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second (wavy line) his heirs and assigns, to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever. And the said parties of the first [sic] for themselves, their heirs, executors and administrators, do by these presents covenant, grant and agree to and with the said party of (wavy line) their heirs, all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted, or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part (wavy line) heirs and assigns, against them the said the said [sic] parties of the first part, their heirs and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof shall and will warrant and forever defend. In witness whereof, the said parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably set their hands and seals dated the day and year first above written. Internal Revenue Foreign Exchange Oct. 13, 1868 Received the day of the date of the within or foregoing Indenture of the within named Charles W. Curry the consideration money in full. John Lunchbaugh (written in German) On the (wavy line) day of (wavy line) Anno Domini 1868 before me a Justice of the Peace in and for the County of Blair and state of Pennsylvania personally appeared the above named John Lunchbaugh and Elizabeth his wife and in due form of law acknowledge the above Indenture to be their act and deed and desired the same might be recorded as such. And the said Elizabeth being of full age and separate and apart from her said husband by me thereon privately examined and the full contents of the above deed being by me first made known unto her did thereupon declare and say that she did voluntarily and of her own free will and accord sign, seal, and as her act and deed deliver the above written Indenture, Deed or conveyance without any coercion or compulsion of her said husband.
