All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ Frankstown Written: March 20, 1882 Blair County Deed Book 49 page 497 Adam Myers & Wife to Scott Meutzer and Elizabeth his wife This Indenture made the twentieth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty two between Adam Myers and Anna Myers his wife of the Township of Freedom and County of Blair and state of Pennsylvania of the first part and Scott Meutzer and Elizabeth Meutzer of the Town of Frankstown County and state aforesaid of the second part. Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of four hundred dollars lawful money of the United States of America unto them well and truly paid by the said parties of the second part at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released, conveyed and confirmed by these presents to grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release, convey and confirm unto the said parties of the second part us [sic] heirs and assigns. All that certain lot or parcel of ground lying in the town of Frankstown County of Blair and state of Pennsylvania with a frame house and frame stable thereon erected said lot lying on the South side of the Turnpike Road and numbered in the New Town plot of Frankstown No 26 being fifty feet fronting on said Turnpike adjoining an alley or street on the east and on the west by ground owned now by the Blair Iron and Coal Company. Thence running south one hundred and seventy feet more or less to the Williamsburg Branch Railroad, thence east fifty feet to said street or alley. It being the same property conveyed to Adam Myers and wife from Lewis Lingafelt and wife on the Twenty third day of March AD 1865 and recorded in the Recorders office of Blair County on the twelfth day of July AD 1866 in Book S page 197 and for further refference [sic] the docket will more fully show. Together with all and singular the Buildings, improvements, ways, waters water courses, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversions and remainders, rents, issues, and profits thereof, and all the estate, right title, interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever of the said parties of the first part, in law or otherwise howsoever, of, in, and to the same and every part thereof. To have and to hold the said above mentioned and described property hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part, their heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said parties of the second part their heirs and assigns forever. And the said Adam Myers and Ann Myers his wife, the said parties of the first part for their heirs executors and administrators do by these presents covenant, grant, and agree to and with the said parties of the second part their heirs and assigns that they the said parties of the first part and their heirs all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said parties of the second part, their heirs and assigns, against them the said parties of the first part, and their heirs and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof and shall and will warrant and forever defend. In witness whereof, the said parties of the first part have to these presents set their hands and seals dated the day and year first above written. Figart Received the day of the date of the above Indenture of the above named Scott Meutzer and Elizabeth Meutzer his wife the sum of Four Hundred Dollars lawfully money of the United States, being the concideration [sic] money above mentioned in Full. Adam Myers An [sic] E Myers Witness A. K. Figart State of Pennsylvania County of Blair SS: On the Twentieth day of March AD 1882 before me A. K. Figart a Justice of the Peace in and for said county came the above named Adam Myers and Ann Myers his wife and acknowledged the foregoing Indenture to be their act and deed desiring the same to be recorded as such. She the said Ann Myers being of full age and by me examined separate and apart from her said husband and the contents of the above Indenture being first made fully known to her declared that she did of her own free will and accord sign and seal and as her act and deed deliver the same, without any coercion or compulsion of her said husband.
