Consideration $145. Blair Co., Pennsylvania Deeds Vol. 43, page 363-364. This Indenture made the Twenty fourth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Eighty, Between R. W. Parsons of the city of Altoona Co., of Blair and State of Pennsylvania of the first part and George Gilbert of the same place of the second part. Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of One Hundred and forty five dollars, lawful money of the United States of America, unto him well and truly paid by the said party of the second part at before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has granted, bargained, sold aliened enfeoffed, released conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents does grant, bargain, sell, alien enfeoff, release, convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns all that certain lot or piece of land in the city of Altoona in the county of Blair and State of Pennsylvania situate on the south side of and fronting on Second Avenue and being the fourth lot West of Fourth Street in the general plan of the said city of Altoona and being in width fronting on said avenue Fifty feet and extending at right-angles to said Avenue One Hundred and twenty feet to an alley and being the same lot of land as described in a certain deed made by said Gilbert and Mary his wife to party of the first part and dated the 24th day of August A.D. 1880. [sic] Together with all and singular the improvements, ways, waters watercourses, rights liberties privileges hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining, and the reversions and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof; and all the estate-right title interest property claim and demand whatsoever of the said party of the first part in law, equity or otherwise, howsoever of in and to the same and every part thereof. To have and to hold the said Lot or piece of land and the hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns, to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said party of the Second part, his heirs and assigns forever and the said party of the first part, for himself his heirs, executors and administrators does by these presents, covenant, grant and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that he the said party of the first part his heirs all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted or mentioned, and intended so to be with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns, against him the said party of the first part, and his heirs, and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof shall and will warrant and forever defend.
