All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ Allegheny Written: April 1, 1887 Recorded: October 15, 1896 Blair County Deed Book 113 page 28 Deed William Shinafelt et ux to Samuel Robeson This Indenture made the first day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty seven between William Shinafelt and his wife of the Township of Allegheny, County of Blair and state of Pennsylvania of the first part and Samuel Robeson of the same Township County and state of the second part: Witnesseth, That the said party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of Three Thousand Dollars, lawful money of the United States of America, unto the said parties of the first part well and truly paid, by the said party of the second part, at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released, conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release, convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever, All that certain piece of land situated in the Township of Allegheny County of Blair and state of Pennsylvania bounded and described as follows Beginning at the Toll House & along the middle of the public road South 37 degrees West 104.7 perches to post (near Walnut) Thence North along lands of McCahan's Heirs 61 degrees West 25 perches to a post thence North 25 1/2 degrees East 96.5 perches along land William Shinafelt to a post in the public road, thence along the middle of said road South 74 1/2 degrees 36 perches to a stone thence along the middle of said road South 74 1/2 degrees 36 perches to a stone thence along the middle of said road South 62 3/4 degrees East 11 1/2 perches to the place of beginning containing Twenty Two 5/160 acres. It being a part of a larger tract of land containing Sixty two acres and ninety three perches sold to the grantor William Shinafelt by Dr. Crawford Irvine and Susan F. Irvine his wife by their deed dated the First day of April A. D. 1880 and recorded in the Office for Recording of Deed in and for the said County in Book Volume 47 page 195 tc on the 18th day of January A. D. 1882 reference to which will more fully appear. Together with all and singular the buildings improvements, ways, waters, water-courses, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversions and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof; and all the estate, right, title, interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever of the said parties of the first part, in law, equity, or otherwise howsoever, of, in and to the same, and every part thereof, To have and to hold the said Twenty two 5/160 acres of land the buildings hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned, and intended so to be, with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever. And .the said William Shinafelt and wife the said parties of the first part, their heirs, executors, and administrators, do by these presents covenant, grant and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that they the said parties of the first apart, and their heirs, all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted or mentioned, and intended so to be, with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part, his heirs, and assigns, against them the said parties of the first part and their heirs, and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof, Shall and Will Warrant and Forever Defend In Witness Whereof, the said parties of the first part have to these presents set their hands and seals. Shinefelt State of Pennsylvania County of Blair ss: On the First day of April Anno Domini 1887, before me a Justice of the Peace in and for said county came the above named William Shinafelt and Mary A. his wife and acknowledged the foregoing Indenture to be their act and deed and desired that the same might be recorded as such. The said Mary A. being of full age, and by me examined separate and apart from her said husband, and the full contents of the foregoing Indenture being first made known to her, declared that she did, voluntarily and of her own free will and accord, sign, seal, and, as her act and deed, deliver the same, without any coercion or compulsion of her said husband.
