John Stiffler and wife to Abraham Koon

  This Indenture made this 14th day of October one thousand eight 
hundred and fifty between John Stiffler of the town of Duncansville 
Blair County and state of Pennsylvania and Catherine his wife of the 
one part and Abraham Koon of the town and county and state aforesaid of 
the other part, Witnesseth that the said John Stiffler and Catherine 
his wife for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars 
lawful money of the United States paid to them in hand by the said 
Abraham Koon at and before the unsealing and delivery hereof the 
receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained, 
sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released, conveyed and confirmed and by these 
presents do grant, bargain, sell alien, enfeoff, release, convey, and 
confirm, unto the said  Abraham Koon his heirs and assigns All the 
following described lot of ground situate in Duncansville Blair County 
situate on the north side of the Turnpike bounded as follows viz: on 
the south by said Turnpike on the west by lot of Simon Stover on the 
north by lands of Daniel Giboney on the east by other lot of John 
Stiffler being seventy feet in front and one hundred and eighty feet 
back being part of a lot of ground which by Deed of Joseph Jones and 
wife conveyed to the said John Stiffler and wife and also a deed of 
Daniel C. Giboney and wife to the said John Stiffler and wife and by 
reffference [sic] being had thereto the title will more fully appear.   
Together with all and singular the buildings improvements, rights, 
liberties, privileges, hereditaments, and appurtenances whatsoever 
thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversions, 
remainders, rents, issues, and profits, thereof, and also all the 
estate, right, title interest, property, and demand whatsoever of them 
the said John Stiffler and Catherine his wife in law equity or 
otherwise howsoever of, in, to, or out of the same.  To Have and to 
hold the said described hereditaments hereby granted, mentioned or 
intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said Abraham Koon his 
heirs and assigns, against them the said John Stiffler and Catherine 
his wife and their heirs and against all and every other person or 
persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part 
thereof.  Shall and will warrant and forever defend in witness whereof 
the said parties of the first part have  hereunto set their hands and 
seals.  Dated the day and year first above

  Received the date of the following Indenture of the above named 
Abraham Koon five hundred dollars in full in consideration money above

  The 14th day of October Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and 
fifty before me one of the Justices of the Peace of Blair County 
personally appeared John Stiffler and Catherine his wife and 
acknowledged the above Indenture to be their act and deed and delivered 
the same might be recorded as such and the said Catherine being of full 
age and by me duly examined separate and apart from her said husband 
the contents thereof being first made known to her declare that she did 
voluntarily and of her own free will and accord sign seal and deliver 
the said indenture without any compulsion of her said husband.  In 
testimony whereof I have set my hand and seal this 14th day of October
