D. 1855 recorded in the recorder's office for deeds in and for the County of Blair in Book F page 334, the 14th day of June A. D. 1855, of Greenfield Township, Blair County and state of Pennsylvania of the one part, and Daniel Shock of the same place of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Paul Mock [sic] Attorney of John Stiffler for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars lawful money of the United States of America unto him well and truly paid by the said Daniel Shock at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released, and confirmed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien enfeoff, release and confirm unto the said Daniel Shock and to his heirs and assigns all that parcel or tract of land situate in Greenfield Township Blair County and state of Pennsylvania. Beginning at S. E. corner of the town plot of Claysburg, thence south east, along the Division line between Peter Shoenbergers heirs and said Paul Mauk, attorney, attorney of John Stiffler, the summit of Denning's Mountain thence N 15 E 30 along summit thence N 76 W 16 g the Town Plot thence South 18 W 16 perches to the place of beginning containing 24 acres and 47 perches neat measure said lot number 1 the above being a part of a larger tract of land in right of Mary Knotts, the legal title thereof was conveyed by G. B. Spang and Sarah his wife by deed dated the 5th day of March A. D. 1853, to the said John Stiffler reference to said Deed recorded in the office for recording deeds in and for the County of Blair in Book D, page 483, may more fully and at large appear. Together with all and singular, the ways, waters, water courses, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments and premises whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversions and remainders, rents, issues, and profits thereof and all the estate, right, title interest, property claim and demand whatsoever of him the said Paul Mauk Attorney of John Stiffler in law equity or otherwise howsoever of in and to the same and every part thereof. To Have and to Hold the said parcel or Tract of 24 acres and 47 perches hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said Daniel Shock and his heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said Daniel Shock, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Paul Mauk, attorney of John Stiffler for himself his heirs, executors and administrators, do by these presents, covenant, grant and agree to and with the said Daniel Shock and his heirs and assigns that he the said Paul Mauk attorney for John Stiffler and his heirs all and singular, the hereditaments and premises hereinabove described and granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said Daniel Shock and his heirs and assigns against him the said Paul Mauk, Attorney of John Stiffler and his heirs and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof, by from or under him or any one else shall and will warrant and forever defend. In witness whereof I have hereunto interchangeably set my hand and seal the day and year first above written.
