ANDERSON [photo] Altoonan Is Penelec Head At Johnstown A native Altoonan, Edward G. Anderson of 201 Second street, has been named acting manager of the Penelec Johnstown district. He has been a Penelec employe for 25 years. Mr. Anderson started his career with the former Penn Central Light and Power company as a clerk in the operating department. Later he served as district representative for the Cherry Tree and Patton districts and as an assistant traveling auditor. In 1938 Mr. Anderson started work as traveling auditor with Utility Auditors and Tax Consultants with the Associated Gas and Electric company. He subsequently (1940-46) became traveling auditor for the Pennsylvania Edison company, with time out for army service. Upon his return from the army, where he rose to a captaincy, he resumed work as traveling auditor with Penelec until March, 1948, when he became acting office manager for the Johnstown district.
