A. Taylor at his boarding house, 217 Fourth avenue, and locked him up at the police station on suspicion of being the man who broke into the beer car of the Hoster Brewing company and stole the beer on Saturday night. The three young fellows who had been arrested and who were released, not having had anything to do with the affair, the police continued to watch the vicinity and learned that a Hoster keg had been thrown over the fence of the yard at the above number on Saturday night, and another of the Bartholemew company went the same journey on Sunday night. Both the kegs were tossed over about 11:30 at night, at which time no brewer sells or delivers beer. The officers undertook a still hunt and last night landed Taylor. He also gave the name of Ansbach, but it is believed Taylor is his name, because of letters found in his possession. He will be held for a hearing. Minor Police News. H. T.
