One common drunk was run in last evening. One common drunk was run in early this morning. J. L. Jones was locked up yesterday on a charge of disorderly conduct. W. J. Triger was locked up yesterday on a charge of drunk and disorderly conduct. Teddy Ryan, charged with disorderly conduct, was sentenced to fifteen days in the county jail by Mayor Hoyer yesterday afternoon. W. G. Brown was locked up last night by the police for assaulting his wife. PERSONAL Henry W. Cowley, a demented inmate of the county here, escaped yesterday and was locked up at City hall to await the return to the home. Albert Hadad, an Arabian fruit dealer, whose place of business is on Eighth avenue near Ninth street, was given a hearing yesterday afternoon before Alderman J. J. Irwin, charged with a serious offense, the information having been made against him by Mrs. Bertha Valance. From the information, it appears that Hadad made an assault with criminal intent on Mrs. Valence, who was employed by him as a clerk.
