Patterson, of Catharine township, this county, was awarded the first premium for the best white wheat at the last State Fair, at Norristown. Col. Elias Baker, of Allegheny Furnace, was also awarded premiums for the best pair of carriage horses and short horned cattle. Democratic Standard, Hollidaysburg, Pa., Wednesday, October 21, 1863 TAKEN PRISONER - Among the federal officers captured by the rebels at Chattanooga were, Lt. A. J. Teeter, 2d Ohio, and Lt. J. H. Gageby, 19th Regulars, both Johnstowners.
