B. Kantner and family and Carl Doer departed for their homes in Sharpsville, Mercer county, on Thursday morning. The many friends of David R. Blyler will regret to learn that he is confined to his bed with a serious attack of heart trouble. Mrs. Lydia Lyons and little daughter, Romayne, of Kansas, were recent visitors of Mrs. Lyons' father, John Barroner, brothers Joseph and James Barroner, and sister, Mrs. Clee Funk; also her aunt, Mrs. Amanda White. Miss Annie Burket, of Geeseytown, and little Elizabeth Burket spent Wednesday and Thursday visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Royer at Lakemont. Services in the Lutheran church on Sunday as follows: Sunday school at 9:30, John Shubert, superintendent; Christian Endeavor at 7:30 p.m. There will be no preaching service, as the pastor, Rev. W. L. Price, is spending his vacation among relatives at Selinsgrove. Russell Delozier, wife and little son, Kenneth Elwood, of Altoona, were automobile callers among relatives here on Thursday afternoon and evening. On Monday evening John Wertz and sister Kate entertained the following persons at 6 o'clock dinner: Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Kantner and son Earl and daughter Edna, Carl Doer, all of Sharpsville, and Mrs. Blair Kauffman and daughter Marie, and Rev. W. L. Price, of Geeseytown. Their home was prettily decorated with ferns and asters, the table decorations being pink and white asters.
