(Ebensburg, Pa.) 1867-1938 October 14, 1869 Joseph Geesey, of Frankstown township, Blair county, aged 70 years, by mistake, opened a door over the basement cellar, to which no stairs were attached, on Saturday night week, and fell into the cellar, striking an iron hoop lying upon top of a keg, which broke his upper jaw and completely severed from his face, his upper lip and a portion of his nose. Owing to his advanced age, his injuries will probably prove fatal.
