G. long, of 613 Fifth avenue, have received word that their son Carl, with the Fifth Field artillery, has arrived safe overseas. Mrs. Howard Wilhide, of 605 Second street, has returned from a visit to her home in Philadelphia. Mrs. S. B. Bain, of 709 Sixth avenue, and granddaughter, Martha Bain, left yesterday for a few days of camp meeting at Mehaffey. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Myers, of 523 Fifth avenue, are entertaining Miss Ruth Edmondson, a First Aid nurse at the Standard Steel works, Burnham. Miss Marguerite Palmer, of Tyrone, is also a guest in the Myers home. Mrs. Ernest Wright and daughter Pauline, of Lewistown, are guests of Mrs. Wright's sister, Mrs. V. H. Black, of 703 Fifth avenue. Mrs. R. N. Hoover, of 613 Eighth avenue, left yesterday on a business trip to Amboy, Ill. Mrs. Anna Fasic, of 621 Seventh avenue, accompanied by her granddaughter, Miss Ruth McCoy, leave today for a visit with friends in Syracuse, N. Y. Mrs. Ira Brown, of Smithville, and Mrs. Henry Turnball, of Ramey, are guests of Mr. and Mrs. William Clare, of 612 Fifth avenue. The ladies are mother and sister, respectively, of Mrs. Clare. Mr. and Mrs. B. N. Boyles and daughters, Mabel and Margaret, of 529 Sixth avenue, have returned from a visit to their son and brother, Harry Boyles, in training at Hampton Roads, Va.
