B. Kearns, of 1520 Tenth street and one of Pershing's Boys, has been wounded in action in France and is now in a hospital there. His parents received the word yesterday morning but no particulars were given. He was for a number of years employed by the Bell Telephone company and is aged 25 years. He enlisted in the regular army four years ago, was on the Mexican border in 1916 with Pershing's force and was among the first Americans to cross over to France with him. He is a member of Machine Gun Company B, First Battalion. The news of his being injured in action and being in a hospital is the first that his parents and friends have had of him since June.
