It is rare indeed for five generations of one family to be living in these days of fast living and short lives, and it is rarer for all the generations to be represented by females, yet such is the case with the family of which Mrs. Lucy Ann KLEFFMAN is the head. Mrs. Kleffman, who is 84 years old, resides at Howard avenue and Seventh street, is the widow of William F. Kleffman, the family being well known here for many years. The next in line is Mrs. Elizabeth M. LONG, widow of Abram Long, living at 410 Howard avenue. She is 58. The third generation is represented by Mrs. Anna L KILLINGER, wife of Samuel V. Killinger, of Twenty-second avenue and Ninth street. She is 38. Mrs. Lottie SUMMERS, wife of H. B. Simmers of 317 Pine avenue, represents the fourth generation, being 20 years old. The fifth generation is represented by Anna Summers, aged (unreadable). It is remarkable that the five generations are residents of Altoona. Mrs. Killinger, Mrs. Summers and little Miss Summers are all members of the United Presbyterian church of which Rev. R. A. Hutchison is pastor. Additional Comments: Abram and Elizabeth Long are buried in Fairview cemetery, as are Samuel & Anna Killinger, and Lottie and Hosea Summers This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/pafiles/ File size: 1.9 Kb
