MRS. LAUGHMAN OBSERVES ANNIVERSARY OF BIRTH

  Mr. Ellen Laughman, widow of Daniel Laughman, and a lifelong resident of 
the county, is today quietly observing the 85th natal anniversary at the 
home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter S. Greevy of 1411 Fourteenth street.  Mrs. 
Laughman was born at Hollidaysburg and spent her entire life at the county 
seat and in Altoona.  She has made her home with the daughter for a number 
of years.  She is in excellent health.  Quite a number of birthday 
remembrances were received at her home this morning.
  The three daughters, Mrs. Greevy, Mrs. J. Chester Wilson and Mrs. Jacob 
Bain, all of this city, gathered at the home to help observe the 
anniversary.
