The Altoona Tribune. (Altoona, Pa.) December 1, 1859
Mahar, Patrick - Fatal Accident.
Patrick Mahar, while engaged removing some car wheels from the platform of the
hoppers at the Coal Mines of Porter, Milliken & Co., a few days ago, made a miss
step and went over, falling some 30 or 40 feet, causing instant death. He was an old
man and leaves a large family to mourn his sudden death.
