Jermyn and son Roland, of Wilkes-Barre, are guests this week of the former's father, Martin H. Bonner. Mrs. Fred Martin and daughter Helen spent a week at Spring Mills, Centre county, with the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Jamison. Rev. C. B. Littleton, of the Methodist Episcopal church at this place, and Rev. A. S. Williams, of Roaring Spring, exchanged pulpits Sunday morning. Mrs. James Beeghly and family, of Bellwood, visited the former's grandmother, Mrs. Polly Metzker, on Sunday. Mrs. Herbert Snare, of Huntingdon, was a guest a few days the past week at the home of her brother, C. H. Grass, and wife. Mr. and Mrs. Abner Dilling are the happy parents of a young daughter, born Thursday of last week. On receiving word of the death of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Albert B. Martin, at Hagerstown, Md., Miss Helen L. Martin left here Tuesday morning for that place to attend the funeral. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Burket and family are camping at Pine Hill, near Loysburg. Mrs. Jacob F. Greaser is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Homer Loose, and son Otis, both of Philadelphia, this week. Miss Elizabeth Smith, of this place, and Mrs. Maggie Wike, of Roaring Spring, are visiting the latter's sister-in-law Mrs. A. R. Wike, in South Bend, Ind. Miss Kathryn Campbell is now employed in the store of Eichelberger, Earlenbaugh & Co., as a clerk, having succeeded Miss Sara Bridenbaugh. Mrs. Nancy Earlenbaugh, mother of Merchant D. R. Earlenbaugh, on Tuesday celebrated her 84th birthday anniversary. She was remembered on that day with a shower of letters and post cards. There will be no preaching in the Lutheran church on Sunday, owing to the absence of the pastor, Rev. W. W.
