NEAFFER LANDS OVER THERE WITH ARTILLERY MYRVEN H. NEAFFER [photo] Myrven H. Neaffer, son of Pure Food Agent and Mrs. M. H. Neaffer, of 2109 Sixth avenue, has arrived in France with Battery C, Sixty-sixth regiment, Coast Artillery. His parents received the news yesterday. The young man enlisted several months ago and selected the coast artillery as his favorite branch of the army. He was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad company when he decided to enlist in the service of the country and had the distinction of being one man that was sent away with a band. The Middle Division band turned out in his honor and rendered a concert at the station. He was the band's bass drummer.
