Hostler, of Altoona, made a business trip through this place on Monday. Mr. Amos Shaw is the proud father of a fine baby boy, which came to his home on Thursday last. Mr. Morgan Hite and wife, of Johnstown, spent Saturday at the home of Mr. C. S. Hite, in this place. Mr. Essington Walls, of Canoe Creek, is spending a few days with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Hite. Dedicatory services will be held in the Lutheran church at Dry Run on Sunday, July 19, at 10, by Rev. Isaac Krider, of Duncansville, assisted by Rev. A. H. Shertz, of Lancaster. Quite a number of young people from this place gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Martz Saturday evening to celebrate the birthday anniversary of their son, Paul.
