POTTER TO ENTER TRAINING CAMP Well-Known Young Man Will Take an Artillery Course at Camp Taylor George A. Potter, one of the city's well known young men and residing at 1506 Thirteenth avenue, will leave the city on Thursday to begin training for war service. He has been accepted for the artillery training class to open at Camp Taylor, Louisville, Ky., on September 1. Mr. Potter has been engaged in the realty business in the city and in addition has been interested in the development of the coal lands in this vicinity. He applied to the war department a few weeks ago to take the course for officers in the artillery service and was accepted. He bill be inducted into the service by Local board No. 1 and entrained for the training camp on Thursday. Altoona Tribune, Monday, August 26, 1918, page 7
