Shillingford, of Clearfield, is in the city. Mr. W. H. Stewart, of Alexandria, is a visitor in town. Mr. Alexander Denny, of Huntingdon, was in town yesterday. Mr. H. E. Winslow, of Punxsutawney, is visiting in the city. Mr. G. B. Keim, of Lewistown, arrived in the city last evening. Colonel J. L. Spangler, of Bellefonte, spent yesterday in Altoona. Mr. C. K. Elder, of Philadelphia, visited friends in the city yesterday. Miss Rose Stevens, of *1031 Eighth avenue, is in Gallitzin visiting friends. Mr. Alf W. Greenwood, of Rockhill, was among the Altoona visitors yesterday. Grocer M. V. Boyer, 2001 Eighth avenue, has gone to Bedford to spend a week. Mr. C. A. Rampanelli, of Pittsburg, will shortly open a broker office in the city. Miss Emma Litzinger, of Millerstown, is the guesst of her friend, Miss Gertrude A. Shields. Mrs. John Wettig and sons, of Philadelphia, are spending several days with friends in this city. Mrs. Joseph T. Brown, 1411 Eighth avenue, has gone to Atlancic City for a month's stay at that place. Miss Henrietta Milburn, of Bedford, is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Gilmore Miller, 1107 Fourth avenue. Mrs. Howard E. Kirk and son, Harry, of Huntingdon, arrived in the city this morning on a visit of a week. Miss Hallie D. Stratford, of Mount Union, Pa., is visiting her sister, Mrs. J. C. McBurney, 400 Eleventh street. Mr. H. C. Rodyhouse, of Philadelphia, of the firm of Rodyhouse, Ayer & Co., was a visitor in the city yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Plack will celebrate their golden wedding at their house, in Juniata Gap, on Tuesday, July 28. Mr. Cadwalder Riddle, of Philadelphia, secretary of the state board of charities, arrived in the city this morning. Mrs. T. J. Leidy, of Fourth street, is visiting among friends in Wilmore, Johnstown and Windber for a week or ten days. Mrs. W. H. Cover and two sons, 2371 West Chestnut avenue, are visiting at the house of Mr. Cover's parents, near Somerset. Mrs. George A. Sutter, accompanied by George A., jr., has returned from a visit of three weeks spent with eastern friends. Mr. W. B. Ford, Sr., and wife have gone to Halifax, where they will occupy their summer cottage and remain for some time. Miss Bessie Saltzman, 1813 Twelfth avenue, left on a two weeks' vacation to Philadelphia, Atlantic City and other eastern cities.
