The Altoona Tribune. (Altoona, Pa.) December 1, 1859
Rockafellow, Ott - Shocking Death 
J. Ott Rockafellow, well known in this vicinity, having been one of the contractors
who built the new Portage Road, jumped out of a third story window at Omit’s Hotel,
in Harrisburg, on Monday morning, by which he was almost instantly killed. He was
laboring under a fit of the mania potu at the time.
