ALTOONA MIRROR - FRONT PAGE - AUGUST 25, 1906 REUNION OF SHAY FAMILY On Saturday, August 25, 1906, a family reunion of the Shay Family was held at Young's Crossing, near Lakemont Park, at the home of Harry Shay. The most interesting part was the presence of Mrs. Maria Shay, the oldest living member of the Shay family. Those present were: W. A. Shay and wife and son. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Wilson & Family of Hollidaysburg Mrs. Jennie Maloney & son Peter Maloney of Troy, N.Y. Mrs. Martha Clark of Scottdale Mr. and Mrs. James Irwin of Royer Mr. and Mrs. John Shay Mr. and Mrs. Emmitt Shay and Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Irwin and their families of Altoona. All done justice to a fine meal and the afternoon was spent in playing ball, running races and other sports.
