(Altoona, Pa.), November 15, 1860 November 15, 1860 George McDonough, son of Mr. Strickler, of Mulberry street, Hollidaysburg, aged three years, was so burned on Sunday morning last as to cause his death. He was playing with the fire in the stove by lighting pieces of paper, while his mother was up stairs. His little sister had taken the paper from him and put it away, but he got it again, when his clothes took fire, and before his mother could relieve him he was all in a crisp. Dr. Happersett was called and dressed the wound. He survived only seven hours.
