(Altoona, Pa.) April 7, 1859 Tracy, Michael, Undergoes Amputation Mr. Michael Tracy, who had his foot smashed on the Pa. Railroad,, a few weeks ago, was forced to undergo the severe operation of amputation, on Saturday night last. Mortification had extended so far as to render it necessary to amputate above the knee. Although very much debilitated at the time the operation was performed, he survived it, and is now doing well. His surgeons were Drs. Finley and Christy.
