Miss Anna Ray, daughter of John K. Ray and Miss Rebecca Cruse, of Bellefonte, are the two new assistants in the post office. Mrs. J. L. Charles, of Lincoln avenue, spent Saturday with her parents of Seventeenth avenue, Altoona. Miss Sara Epstein, of the clerical force in the superintendent's office, has gone to Pittsburg for a visit with friends. Miss Edith Fisher has accepted a position with the Home Electric company. Miss Inez Halligan has resigned her position as clerk in Albright Brothers store, to accept a similar one with the Crabtree Jewelry company. Jack Myers, of Lincoln avenue, has returned from a business trip to Pittsburg. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Garman, of West Eleventh street and Mr. and Mrs. George C. Wilson, of Washington avenue, motored to Bedford Springs, where they will spend a couple of days. Miss Pearl McKinney has accepted a position in Albright Brothers store. Mrs. I. O. Martin and children Betty and Helen Louise, of Phoenixville, are visiting her parents on West Cameron avenue. Assistant Supervisor A. G. Andrews, of Washington, D. C., was a recent visitor in Tyrone. Mr. Andrews was formerly employed in the Tyrone draughting room. EVENTS ABOUT TOWN A stag party composed of the Paper Mill and the Fuller company office forces will motor to Catfish this evening for a chicken dinner. This afternoon at 4 o'clock a flag raising will take place at the new alcohol plant being erected at the paper mill. Samuel B. Hare, of Altoona, will deliver a patriotic address and some local speakers will also make some appropriate remarks. The liberty band will give a concert under the direction of Harry L.
