WRIGHT [photo] Juniata Gap Couple Marks Golden Event Mr. and Mrs. Frank C. Wright of R. D. 1, Juniata gap, are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary today at their home with members of the family. A dinner this evening is planned to climax the occasion. The couple was united in marriage Aug. 11, 1898, at Alexandria, Pa., residing in Altoona and Juniata ever since. They both are enjoying excellent health. Mr. Wright retired in 1940 as an inspector in the Juniata shops of the Pennsylvania railroad after 40 years of service. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Wright of Hollidaysburg, both deceased. His father for many years was an employe of the Altoona & Logan Valley Electric Railway company. Mrs. Wright is the former Mary Eliza Isenberg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Isenberg of Altoona, both deceased. Mr. Isenberg was a well known Eleventh avenue merchant. Although in a retired status, Mr. Wright is active in fraternal circles, holding membership in Logan lodge, Free and Accepted Masons, and the Harrisburg consistory. Mrs. Wright is a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Both are members of Christ Evangelical and Reformed church. The couple has three sons and a daughter, all of whom were educated in the city schools and, who, with their wives and husbands, are helping to make the anniversary observance complete with their presence. They include: Mrs. Emma W. Snyder of Huntingdon, George H. Wright of Hollidaysburg, an employe of the Pennsylvania railroad; Frank Wright, jr., of Philadelphia, court reporter for the court of common pleas, and Harry G. Wright of Altoona, manager of the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea company store at 1207 Eleventh street. Altoona Mirror, Wednesday, August 11, 1948, page 11
