All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ WILLIAM ALBRIGHT ROARING SPRING, Feb. 16. - William Albright, one of Roaring Spring's oldest and most respected citizens, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Plommer Dick, on Locust street, and 10 o'clock Friday morning, after a seven weeks' illness, due to chronic heart disease. Mr. Albright was born near Roaring Spring August 19, 1842, and was a son of John and Rebecca (Donner) Albright, both deceased. In 1868 he was united in marriage with Miss Tressa Fishser, of Conemaugh, and they established their new home here where the deceased had lived ever since. After the death of his wife seven years ago, he made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Plommer Dick. Mr. Albright was a trusted employee of the D.M. Bare Paper company for more than 53 years. He was also a life-long member of the Brethren church, faithfully attending worship when his health permitted. Surviving are three daughters, viz: Mrs. Julia Trease, of Altoona; Mrs. Laura Helsel and Mrs. Emma Dick, of Roaring Spring; one foster son, Major Joseph Mapes, now located at Newark, N.J.; one brother, George Albright, of Baker's Summit, fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. The funeral services will be conducted by Rev. A.C. Miller in the Roaring Spring Church of the Brethren at 10.30, Sunday morning. Interment in the Albright cemetery.
