JOSEPH P. ALLEN 

Of 1211 Twenty-fifth avenue, died at the Altoona hospital at 6:55 
o'clock Sunday evening after an extended illness.  He was born in 
Altoona July 19, 1881, a son of James and Mary (Clancy) Allen.  He was 
a member of St. Theresa's Catholic church and the Frohsinn Singing 
society.  Mr. Allen was a former staff manager of the Prudential 
Insurance company, retiring in 1934. Surviving are his wife, the former 
Agnes M. Hanlon; one daughter, Mrs. Helen J. Koblish of Pittsburgh; two 
sons, Paul K. of Altoona and John H. of Altoona; two sisters, Miss 
Teresa M. Allen and Mrs. Regina C. Stevens, both of Altoona, and four 
grandchildren.  Friends will be received at the N. A. Stevens mortuary 
after 7 o'clock this evening.
