ALLEN

  Mrs. Rachael Allen died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. S. K. 
Westley of 1010 Seventh avenue, on Saturday morning at 3:30 o'clock, 
death being caused by a complication of diseases.  She was the widow of 
William J. Allen and was born in Newry, the daughter of James A. and 
Catherine Vaughn, deceased, and was a member of the First Lutheran 
church.  Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. E. C. Barrett, Mrs. Homer 
Allen of Wilmington, Del., and Mrs. Westley; also by one brother, James 
A. Vaughn, and five grandchildren.  The funeral will be held this 
afternoon at 2 o'clock, with interment in Oak Ridge cemetery.
