Mrs. Barbara Tobias Alison, an aged lady who resided on the Plummer farm, in Snyder township, near Tyrone, where she was housekeeper for Hiram Cousins, met a sudden death at 8 o'clock yesterday morning, at the water station, just east of Tyrone depot. She was on her way to the town and was standing on the track waiting for a westbound train to pass when Atlantic express struck and instantly killed her. She was aged 71 years and was the widow of a soldier. She leaves two children, Mrs. David Davis, of Washington, Pa., and Calvin Allison, of Petersburg. The remains were interred at Petersburg today.
