Allison, 81, 707 W. 15th St., rear, Tyrone, died Saturday, April 12, 1997 at his residence. He was born Nov. 15, 1915 in Tyrone, the son of Albert and Agnes (Grimm) Allison. He married Mildred Roberts Dec. 23, 1941, in Tyrone. She died July 20, 1988. Mr. Allison was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. He retired as supervisor for American Airlines at la Guardia and Kennedy airports in 1978, after 28 years of service. Mr. Allison was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Tyrone Elks Lodge No. 222, and the Howard Gardner American legion Post No. 281. Surviving are a son, Daniel R. of Mission Viejo, Calif., and two grandchildren. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Feller Memorial Home, Tyrone. ALLISON - Funeral services with military honors for John L. Allison of 707 W. 15th St., rear, Tyrone, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 17, 1997, at Feller Memorial Home, Tyrone, with the Rev. Charles Fitzgerald officiating. Interment will follow at Blair Memorial Park. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, and 10 a.m. until the time of services Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Allison was the last surviving member of his immediate family, being preceded in death by a brother, James.
