AMMERMAN For many years a resident of Altoona and an employe [sic] of the W. S. Aaron furniture company, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Cameron Blair, 8(?) East Fourteenth street, Tyrone, at 6 o'clock Saturday evening of a complication of diseases after a short illness. He was born near Lock Haven on Feb. 22, 1857, a son of Wilson L. and Mary (McLaughlin) Ammerman, and as a young man was engaged in the lumber business along the west branch of the Susquehanna river. He was united in marriage with Miss Mary Leland, who died in the city four years ago. Since the death of Mrs. Ammerman he had been residing in Tyrone. In addition to the daughter he is survived by one grandson, Lawrence W. Blair, and one great-granddaughter, Betty, all of Tyrone. Mr. Ammerman was of the Methodist faith. Funeral services were held at the Blair home this afternoon. Interment was made in Grandview cemetery. Altoona Mirror, April 14, 1934
