Ammerman of 1315 Washington avenue, Tyrone, died this morning at 6 o'clock in the Altoona hospital where she had been a patient since Tuesday. She was born at Alexandria, Oct. 25, 1859. Mr. and Mrs. Ammerman had observed the fifty-seventh anniversary of their wedding in July, last year, the couple having been united in marriage in Alexandria on July 2, 1886, and they spent most of their married lives in Tyrone. Mr. Ammerman is a well known retired Pennsylvania railroad engineer, who survives, with these children: Mrs. Grace Port, Clyde Ammerman, Eugene Ammerman and Robert Ammerman, all of Juniata, and Edwin Ammerman of Tyrone, and sixteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A daughter died several years ago. Mrs. Ammerman was a member of the First United Brethren church in Tyrone and had been a teacher in the Sunday school and was honored by being made a life teacher.
