ANDERSON As briefly noted yesterday, Mrs. Stephen A. Anderson died of stomach trouble at her home, 506 South Tuckahoe street, at 10:30 p.m. Saturday. Mrs. Anderson, whose maiden name was Alice Wilson, was a daughter of John and Rachel McDonald Wilson and was born at Steubensville, Ohio. She was united in marriage to Stephen A. Anderson, who died February 16, 1915. To this union seven children were born, two of whom, Wilbur C. and Selby A., preceded their mother to the grave. Those surviving are: Mrs. E. H. Sanborn, of New York; Miss Elizabeth Anderson, of Philadelphia; John B., assistant manager of the Gas Light company at Brockton, Mass.; Private Robert W. Anderson, in hospital service at New York; Mrs. J. F. Chilton, who with her family had made her home with her mother. Four grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Anderson had been for many years a faithful member of the Methodist Episcopal church, giving it loyal service so long as health permitted. She was especially active in the work of the Woman's Foreign Missionary society, being secretary at the time of her death. She also belonged to the Ladies Aid society and was one of the honorary members of the Bellwood Civic club. During the fifteen years of her residence in Bellwood she had won a host of friends who deeply mourn her passing away. The funeral service will be held at her late home this afternoon at 3 o'clock and tomorrow morning on the 10.59 train the body will be taken to Washington, Pa., where interment will be made at 5:30.
