Mr. Anderson was born in Jonkoping, Sweden, March 9, 1870, the son of Carl and Hedda Anderson. He retired from the Pennsylvania railroad in 1937 after 45 years as a blacksmith in the South Altoona spring shop. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Alma (Ahrenberg) Anderson; these children, Mrs. William Tate and Mrs. Edward Rigler, both of Altoona, Albert C. of Duncansville, Rudolph O., Axel E. and Victor W., all of Altoona; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was a member of the First Lutheran church and the Henry Baker Bible class. Friends are being received at the Laughlin funeral home. Altoona Mirror, January 16, 1950
