Anderson, Sr., 77, of RD 3 Box 108, Tyrone, died at 5:10 p.m., Monday, Feb. 28, 2005. He was born Jan. 2, 1928 in Tyrone, a son of Andrew William and Selma C. (Johnson) Anderson. He was twice married, first, to Shirley Seiner, now deceased, then on July 9, 1977 in Tyrone, he married Kay Wolfe. He is survived by his wife, a son Robert E. Anderson, Jr. of Bellwood and a daughter Denise Conklon of Grampian; two step-sons: Jim Wolfe and Alan Wolfe of Tyrone; five grandchildren: Michael, Roland, Elissa, Bradley and Dana Anderson, three step grandchildren: Bradley, Matthew and Benjamin Wolfe; a brother William G. Anderson and sister-in-law Janet Anderson. He was preceded in death by sisters Esther Newman, Dorothy Kramer and Edith Miles, a baby daughter and grandson Kenneth Wolfe. He was a graduate of Tyrone High School in 1946. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion Post 281 and enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. He retired in 1990 from P.P.G. Industries, Tipton after 17 years and was previously at Westvaco Corp., five years, Hagg's Dairy, six years and Hanlon & Wilson. At the request of the deceased the casket will be closed. A Committal Service will be held Thursday, March 3, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone with Rev. P.
