At ten minutes of 9 o'clock on Saturday evening little Waldemar Anderson died at the residence of his parents, near Thirteenth street between Eighth and Ninth avenues. His death was the result of the terrible burns which he received on Friday afternoon, while attempting to start a fire in the kitchen stove with the use of coal oil. He was the son of Andrew and Kate Anderson and was a bright and promising child. His death is another warning against using coal oil for the purpose of starting a fire. Although from his own account it was evident that he took all the precautions which he deemed necessary, the few remaining sparks which were in the stove and which were buried in the ashes, ignited the oil and the explosion followed. The friends will have the sympathy of all in their bereavement. The funeral took place from St. Luke's church yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Monday, July 30, 1888
