William Anderson, an old and respected citizen of East Freedom, died suddenly on Saturday night, at 11 o'clock, of heart disease. Mr. Anderson has had several attacks of this disease during the past few years. He has been a resident of East Freedom for more than a quarter of a century, being engaged in the mercantile business during all that time. He has been a careful and judicious business man and an earnest Christian gentleman. He had lived beyond the natural duration of man's life, being past 77 years of age. He was the father of A. J. Anderson, the enterprising merchant of Martinsburg. Two of his daughters reside in the State of Kansas, one of whom - Mrs. Carroll - was recently mentioned in the TRIBUNE in connection with a singular dream. The funeral has been delayed that relatives from Kansas might be in attendance. The funeral of the late William Anderson, which was to have taken place yesterday morning, was delayed on account of the non-arrival of his daughter from Salina, Kansas, until this morning at 9 o'clock.
