Frank Appleman, sr., of 201? East Fourth street, Williamsburg, died at 7.50 o'clock Saturday evening at the home after having been ill for the past thirteen weeks of a complication of diseases. She was born at Pavia, Bedford county, on March 3, 1858, a daughter of Thomas and Mary Oldham, and was united in marriage with Mr. Appleman at Woodbury on Aug. 5, 1879. Surviving are her husband, three daughters and three sons, Mrs. Howard Clapper of Canoe Creek, Mrs. Frank Shell, Miss Emma, James H., Samuel L., and D. Frank Appleman, jr., of Williamsburg, twenty grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Appleman was the last member of her immediate family. She was a member of the Williamsburg Methodist church, the Missionary society of the church and the Ladies' Aid society. Following funeral services at the home at 1 o'clock tomorrow afternoon the funeral cortege will leave for the Holsinger Church of the Brethren at Bakers Summit, where further services will be held on arrival.
