MARY ANN APPLEMAN Of Roaring Spring died at her home, 925 Franklin street, this morning at 2 o'clock of peritonitis after a short illness. She was the wife of Miles W. Appleman and was born at Bakers Summit on Sept. 17, 1885, the daughter of Scott, deceased, and Mrs. Ellen Smith, and was married in 1904, residing since that time in Roaring Spring. She was a faithful member of the St. Luke's Lutheran church of Roaring Spring and was held in high esteem and respected by a wide circle of friends. Surviving are the mother, Mrs. Ellen Smith Cloud, the husband and four young children, Wilmer, Gladys, Cornelis and Dale, the latter being aged 1 week, also by two brothers, William of Bakers Summit and Jacob of South Dakota and one sister, Mrs. Abraham Hite of Roaring Spring. The funeral will be held from the residence on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. Services will be in charge of Rev. H. E. Berkey, pastor of the Lutheran church.
