CHARLES W. ARMSTRONG.

  Charles Wesley Armstrong, of 811 Nineteenth street, died at 2.15 o'clock 
yesterday morning at the Altoona hospital of obstruction of the bowels 
following a brief illness.  He was admitted to the institution on Christmas 
day.  Deceased was born in Altoona on July 26, 1856 and had resided here [f]or 
some years.  He was married December 11, 1877 to Loraine Salsburg who survives 
with one son, Irvin, of Pittsburg, and three grandchildren.  A son, Wilson R., 
preceded him to the grave about six months ago.  He was employed as a 
stationary engineer by the P.R.R. company.  He was a member of the Red Men and 
Trainmen's Relief association.  The funeral arrangements will be announced 
later.

FUNERAL NOTICE

  Funeral services for Charles W. Armstrong, of 811 Nineteenth street, will be 
held this afternoon at his late home.  Burial in Fairview cemetery.
